| Dr Jennifer Craig, senior lecturer at University of Auckland, New Zealand will chair the
inaugural Eyecare 3000 - Contact Lens and Anterior Eye Day on Sunday 5 September 2010
at Glasgow Caledonian University. Other lecturers at the event include Caroline Christie
Clinical Director at City University; Dr Lynn Winterton the Global Head of Strategy and
External Alliances for the Research and Development Function at CIBA VISION Corporation,
Atlanta, Georgia and Jonathan Walker, practising optometrist and Scientific Programme
Officer to the BCLA conference.
The afternoon session will make use of the clinical facilities at the university to run a series of practical workshops on contact lens fitting, dry eye, myopia control and contact lens aftercare. Up to 8 CET points can be gained from attending the conference. “Innovations in Vision”
The aim of our lecture programme is to keep registered optical practitioners abreast of the very latest developments in research and clinical procedure in vision care. “Microwaves for Refractive Corrections and Micro-Lasers for AMD” It will be delivered by the Renter Warden, Professor John Marshall PhD, FMedSci, FRCPath, HonFRCOphth. This talk is a must for all who have an interest in technological developments in refractive surgery and the task of managing patients with AMD, and has been accredited with 2 CET points. The cost is £95 per delegate, and includes a two-course buffet lunch. The lecture will commence at 11.00 a.m. with delegate registration and coffee at 10.30 a.m. We anticipate that it will be heavily subscribed, and early booking is therefore highly recommended.
