It is the students' responsibility to request an examination application within good time of the closing date and to successfully apply for all of correct examination(s) by the closing date as set by the ABDO Examinations Department. Failure to do so will prevent you from sitting an examination(s).

Due to the volume of applicants and complex nature of timetabling and examination preparation, late applications cannot be accepted under any circumstances. The decision by the Head of Examinations & Registration is final and no further communication will be entered into.

Closing dates and requests for examination applications are available via the ABDO website or upon request by contacting the ABDO Examinations department.

However, generally ABDO use historical dates i.e.: Summer session closing date is the 30th March and the winter session is the 15th October. If either of these dates fall over a weekend, please ensure your application arrives at the ABDO Examinations department before the closing date. (Various deadlines may apply to the advanced examinations i.e.: LVA/SLD)

It is your responsibility to have paid all necessary fees upon application. Failed payments, i.e.: stopped / failed cheque payments; will deem the application void. The examination application and the student’s allocated place will be removed by ABDO.

Examination applications will only be accepted from valid ABDO members and students registered with the GOC. You must not allow your ABDO membership or GOC registration to lapse once your application has been accepted for examinations. If this occurs the application and allocated examination place will be removed by ABDO.
