The British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) has opened applications for its Fellowship programme, which recognises practitioners who are advancing knowledge and excellence in contact lenses and anterior eyecare.
The Association plans to appoint 50 new fellows to mark its 50th anniversary. Fellowship demonstrates a significant contribution to clinical practice, research, education or the wider profession. There is a network of more than 250 existing fellows in the UK and around the world.
BCLA chief executive, Brad Parkes, said: “BCLA Fellowship represents a commitment to professional excellence and lifelong learning, and we are proud of the outstanding community of Fellows who have helped shape the development of contact lens practice and anterior eyecare over many decades.”
Successful candidates will be admitted as Fellows at the BCLA’s 2027 clinical conference in Birmingham next June.
The deadline for applications is Friday 4 December.
