Mackies celebrates 30 years
Celebration with patients, staff and colleagues
Mackie Opticians of Bothwell, Scotland, celebrated its 30th anniversary with patients and colleagues during a special event held on Saturday 20 June.
This month, the practice will also achieve another milestone as it hands over to new owner, Neil Gray, and independent prescriber-qualified optometrist, as part of the Hakim Group.
Dr Scott Mackie said: “Opening from scratch, we have built up a great following and won some awards along the way.
“We’d like to thank both our loyal staff and patients for their unwavering support over the past three decades.”
Scott and his wife, Dr Roisin Mackie, also celebrated 30 years of organising the Scottish Optical Conference (SOC) last year – and were honoured for three decades of running CPD in Scotland.
This year’s SOC event will take place on Sunday 15 November – with a special delegate rate for ABDO members.
