Arbuthnot Opticians have successful boutique practices in Barry & Penarth. We are known for our exciting eyewear and high-level dispensing, as well as our clinical expertise. Our growing business means we are looking to add an ambitious, stylish, customer focused dispensing optician to our amazing team.
This role is perfect for you if;

– You are confident, articulate, & able to reassure patients that they are in capable hands.
– You are great at understanding customer perceptions, building personal relationships, delivering an experience, able to step in at any stage of the patient journey and handle any situation with finesse, be that on the phone, in reception or during dispensing consultations.
– You’re a team player & you’ll do whatever it takes to deliver an exceptional experience to patients, getting involved in the day-to-day tasks that happen in a boutique practice, making a positive contribution to our business and the community it serves.
– You understand what it means to be a hard worker and can cope with the pressures of a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
– You want to continue to learn, expand your abilities and deliver the highest possible level of dispensing expertise together with the best customer experience.

– Dispensing experience is essential although qualification is not necessary.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: negotiable depending on experience, plus bonus scheme
Location: Barry & Penarth
Hours: 33.5 hours (4.5 days) per week, 9.00 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. Monday to Friday (with a day off during the week) plus Saturday 9.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. With the option of one Saturday off per month.
