The GOC is consulting on how registrant fees are structured, distributed and paid – not the fee levels themselves.
This could impact:
- whether fees stay flat or vary between groups
- potential fee reductions for dispensing opticians
- how costs are shared between individuals and businesses
- flexibility such as paying by instalments
