We are excited to once again be working in partnership with Johnson & Johnson Vision as our Gold CPD partner (contact lens optician)
ABDO has announced Johnson & Johnson Vision are again partnering for 2026 as Gold CPD Partner (Contact Lens Opticians) and will be running a further exclusively curated 360˚ support programme.
Recognising the importance of the contact lens optician (CLO) within the primary eyecare multi-disciplinary team, ABDO and Johnson & Johnson Vision have created a new exciting ‘360˚ support programme’ for CLOs for 2026.
Not only are Johnson & Johnson Vision providing CPD at all of our regional events during 2026 they are also providing a programme of CPD suitable for contact lens practitioners throughout the year. This will be a mix of CPD webinars, discussion workshops and non-CPD accredited discussion forums covering confidence in contact lens complications, toric lenses, dry eye management, complex lenses and multifocals.
New for this year will be a new delivery format for the online programme, where you will take part in a one hour CPD session followed by a professional discussion on a related contact lens topic with the J&J facilitators and your peers.

‘We look forward to once again working with ABDO to curate a varied programme of events specifically for CLOs, as part of our 360 Sponsorship initiative. For 2026, we have several in-person events, at NRC or Johnson & Johnson Institute, that will support CLOs as well as our online series of lectures, peer discussions and peer reviews.’
David Jameson FCOptom, Professional Education and Development Manager, Vision Team at Johnson & Johnson.
As part of this package, Johnson & Johnson Vision will once again be exhibiting and providing CPD at all ABDO CPD Regional Events in 2026. At these events, they will also give a brief talk to encourage DOs to become CLOs and then will provide an exciting discussion workshop on Blue light myths and mysteries unravelled.
