ABDO apologises for cancelled exams

ABDO has apologised to students after technical difficulties led to the cancellation of ABDO College year three examinations, due to take place online today.

Alicia Thompson, ABDO director of professional examinations, explained: “In order to progress students during the pandemic, ABDO has moved to online theoretical assessments.

“While this new system worked well for the year two resit exams held on 16 June, sadly today the exams could not be delivered via this system for third year students at ABDO College.

“Despite efforts to re-start and rectify the issues, at 11.30am it became apparent it was not going to be possible and the decision was made to cancel.

“We wholeheartedly apologise for the upset and frustration caused by these technical issues. All students affected have been sent a communication.

“We will endeavour to have an alternative plan as soon as possible and this will be communicated within the next week.”
