ABDO College and IOT forge alliance

ABDO College and ophthalmic lens tech company Indizen Optical Technologies (IOT) have opened the IOT Dispensing Suite to support and educate prospective optics students. ABDO College students will benefit from it next term.

IOT wants to further education in the optical sector. It has provided ABDO College with training materials to help potential students understand different optical concepts and processes. The two organisations will collaborate for the next three years.

Dr Robert Cubbidge, principal of ABDO College says, “It was with great pleasure that we welcomed IOT and their partners to ABDO College. The high quality teaching materials they have provided will ensure that our students are able to understand the latest technological advances being made in the ophthalmic lens industry and how they can benefit patients.”

An IOT spokesperson says: “Being able to support ABDO College, together with Caledonian Optical, Optimum RX Lens Specialists and Norville, will help drive knowledge and learning which can only lead to more innovations in the industry.
