ABDO College seeks trustees

ABDO members are being invited to apply for one of three ABDO College trustee positions by the closing date of 30 November 2020.

The three vacancies will be filled during 2021, when three current trustees retire. Trustees can serve for a maximum of eight years, after which they are required to stand down.

“We are seeking applications from ABDO members who have an interest in and a desire to help guide the education of dispensing students in the future,” said ABDO general secretary, Tony Garrett. “We particularly welcome applications from graduates of ABDO College who have gone on to forge a successful career in the profession.”

ABDO College trustees meet formally four times a year, with further opportunities to be involved. Trustees are responsible for agreeing the College’s annual budget and accounts, and for receiving reports from senior staff.

“These positions are unremunerated but are, of course, very rewarding for those who wish to contribute to the future success of the College and the profession,” Tony added.

All applications will be treated in confidence and should be addressed to Sir Anthony Garrett CBE, ABDO College, Godmersham Park, Godmersham, Canterbury, Kent CT4 7DT. The closing date for applications is Monday 30 November 2020.
