LOCSU launches new clinical pathways

The Local Optical Committee Support Unit (LOCSU) has introduced three new clinical pathways to expand its clinical services.

It stated: “The rapid development of the CUES [Covid-19 Urgent Eyecare Service] urgent care pathway took centre stage early in the Covid-19 pandemic. With that pathway in place, LOCSU has acted on the request which came through clearly from the NOC [National Optometric Conference] in November 2019, to expand the suite of clinical pathways available.

“We are delighted to be able to expand our suite of resources to include three additional pathways.”

The three new pathways are:

  • Maculopathy Referral Filtering and Monitoring Pathway
  • LOCSU Child Integrated Care Pathway
  • Healthy Living Optical Practice
