Norville Group founder and chairman, Frank Norville, has written to customers to inform them that the company was put into administration at 1pm on Friday 3 July.
Frank Norville confirmed that the administrators had dismissed all staff – but added that 25 staff members had volunteered to complete orders in progress.
He went on to apologise for any difficulties this turn of events may cause customers – citing the group’s shock at the “total lack of financial support from anywhere”.
The Norville Group had been trading for more than 70 years. Its group of practices, Norville Opticians, has been bought by the Hakim Group.
