100% Optical celebrates innovation

Exploring the stands at 100% Optical 2025

CloserStill Media has hailed 100% Optical 2025, held at London ExCeL from 1-3 March, as a “celebration of innovation, expertise and collaboration”.

There were more than 250 exhibitors this year, showcasing some 5,000 brands, with a reported 11,000 visitors over the three days.

A new show floor layout – and the second co-located 100% Ophthalmology – brought a fresh feel to the event that had a focus on the future of the professions and industry.

There was a nine per cent increase in the number of optometrists and dispensing opticians attending this year, along with a 20 per cent increase in buyers, and a 66 per cent increase of senior level ophthalmologists and consultants for 100% Ophthalmology.

More than 100 hours of CPD were provided, including via the ABDO CPD dispensing workshops, alongside lively daily catwalk shows, on-stand education and business insights.

The Love Eyewear Awards celebrated new and established designers with 13 accolades awarded on the catwalk on the Saturday afternoon – including New Designer 2025 for Tanaka Eyewear and Kid’s Frame of the Year for Götti Dimension Next.

Commenting after the show, Celsa Vazquez, CloserStill Media commercial director, said: “Firstly, a massive congratulations to our 2025 Love Eyewear Award winners. Each year the competition gets fiercer, judging gets tougher and the ceremony gets more exciting.

“We’d like to extend a special thank you to our valued exhibitors, sponsors and all of the visitors who made 100% Optical the must-attend event for the industry again.

“This exhibition is a true celebration of innovation, expertise, and collaboration and this year was no different. We showcased a new layout and reimagined floor plan, encouraged the industry to clock hundreds of hours in CPD and witnessed so many exciting launches…

“We had the pleasure of witnessing the second edition of 100% Ophthalmology, our esteemed co-located event designed for ophthalmologists and their multidisciplinary teams.

“This exceptional three-day educational programme offered a dynamic platform for ophthalmologists to expand their knowledge, engage in meaningful networking, and collaborate with optometrists, fostering a spirit of professional growth.”

100% Optical 2026 will take place from 28 February to 2 March at the same venue.
