Grant-funded places for this year’s British Contact Lens Association (BCLA) Clinical Conference and Exhibition have been made available to new eyecare professionals thanks to Johnson & Johnson Vision Care.
UK-based students, pre-registration, newly qualified (within two years) and contact lens opticians (CLOs) can apply for the grant-funded places for all three days of the BCLA’s flagship event to be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham from Thursday 5 June to Saturday 7 June.
Successful applicants will also be awarded a £150 travel grant, to be claimed after attending the conference.
Luke Stevens-Burt, chief executive of the BCLA, said: “The grant funding has been generously provided by Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, making it possible for deserving candidates to attend this prestigious conference. We are grateful for their support and commitment to the ongoing development of new professionals and CLOs.
“This is a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge, network with industry professionals, and enhance your career prospects in the field of contact lens care and anterior eye health. We’d urge all new professionals to get involved with this incredible chance to join your peers and experts at the BCLA Clinical Conference 2025.”
BCLA members will be given priority to the grant funding. Places are limited and based on an application system. Applications are open until Wednesday, 30 April 2025. Register your interest by completing the form here.
