Zoom in to ABDO Board elections

Nominations are now open for this year’s ABDO Board elections – and interested members are invited to attend a Zoom meeting on 27 May to find out what’s involved.

One ABDO Board place is open for election in 2025. The seat is currently held by Lorraine Bleasdale who is entitled to seek re-election.

The Association is encouraging members who are underrepresented to stand for election. This includes members from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled people and LGBTQ+ members.

In order to provide a better understanding of the role, members will have the chance to attend a Zoom meeting on 27 May from 7-8pm.

Chaired by ABDO CEO, Alistair Bridge, the meeting will provide insights into what is involved – from time commitments to how the Board supports the objectives of the Association’s Strategic Plan.

Find out more about the elections process, and how to make a nomination.

The closing date for nominations is 5pm on Friday 13 June 2025.

Book a place on the 27 May Zoom meeting.

Members who have any queries about the process or eligibility to stand should contact Jane Burnand by emailing jburnand@abdo.org.uk or call her on 07939936827.
