Deputy Mayoress visits DO-owned practice

Dispensing optician and ABDO member, Shaileen Shah, welcomed the Deputy Mayoress of Camden to his London practice recently to help celebrate the business’s 18th anniversary.

Councillor Samata Khatoon visited Glasses to Go at Cricklewood Broadway, North West London, along with several local business owners and patients.

During the tour of the practice, Cllr Khatoon spoke with guests and commended Glasses to Go on the positive impact it has had on the local economy. She also underwent an eye examination, including an optical coherence tomography scan.

She said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to witness first hand the incredible work being done right here in our community. It serves as a prime example of the entrepreneurial spirit and dedication that drives our local and the wider businesses. Your hard work is what helps our city’s prosperity, and I am immensely proud of what you’ve achieved.”

Other staff members present were Charles Prempeh, senior dispensing optician, and Ziggy Shah, senior optometrist – who said on behalf of the practice: “The Deputy Mayoress, Councillor Samata Khatoon understands that a thriving business community is essential.
