Get ready for Myopia Action Month
September will see a month-long programme of learning and events to help eyecare professionals tackle the growing problem of myopia.
Online courses, downloadable resources and social media activities will help eyecare professionals to promote myopia management.
The schedule features two educational tracks, foundations and advanced, each offering a package of four 15-minute recorded lectures covering a variety of topics. Product videos will support practical understanding.
The world-wide event supports the World Council of Optometry’s advocacy for myopia patient care and is led by Myopia Profile, an international online community of eye health specialists.
Co-founder Dr Kate Gifford said Myopia Action Month 2024 “will bring even more engaging content and practical learning experiences. The resources we’re developing are designed to empower eyecare professionals at any stage to refine their myopia action plans and management strategies.
“Our 2024 event will introduce new practice support, online courses, downloadable resources, and a host of other additions. We had a fantastic first year, and we’re committed to making this September even more valuable in turning myopia knowledge and awareness into action.”
