Silhouette International has announced today that it is ending its license to produce sports eyewear under the Adidas brand and is launching its own high-end sport eyewear brand.
With over 25 years of expertise in the sports eyewear industry, Silhouette has received many accolades and awards for its Adidas-branded sports eyewear. Its Austrian-made products have been worn by Olympic gold medallists, world champions and World Cup winners.
The Austrian eyewear brand will funnel its technological expertise and design into growing its brand portfolio and introduce a high-end sports eyewear collection that, it says, will offer “outstanding quality, class-leading craftmanship and unparalleled design”. As with many of Silhouette’s frames, a high degree of work will be completed by hand “to guarantee maximum comfort and the perfect fit”.
Launching in autumn 2019, the new sports eyewear collection will be rolled across selected retailers in Europe and the UK in early 2020.
