Member benefits spotlight: June

ABDO membership offers more than professional representation and guidance – it also provides essential wellbeing support through free, confidential access to a counselling helpline.

This service ensures members have someone to turn to when facing professional pressures, personal challenges, or periods of increased stress.

Available at no additional cost as part of ABDO membership, the counselling helpline offers a safe and confidential space to talk. Members can speak directly with trained professionals who understand the importance of empathy, and practical guidance.

This service reflects ABDO’s wider commitment to supporting members holistically, recognising that strong mental and emotional wellbeing underpins long-term professional success. Access to early support can help prevent challenges from escalating, while also promoting resilience, balance and overall wellbeing.

Commenting on the service, Ed Fox, ABDO head of membership services, said: “We know that our members face a range of pressures, both inside and outside of work. Providing free and confidential access to a counselling helpline is one of the ways ABDO demonstrates its commitment to supporting members as people, not just professionals.”

ABDO members can access the counselling helpline by calling 0333 000 2082.
