As part of its ongoing global response efforts to the Covid-19 crisis, Alcon is donating more than 35,000 units of Systane eye drops to UK NHS workers, and those working in care homes and hospices.
This follows an initiative to donate slit lamp breath shields to UK eyecare practices, and free delivery of Alcon contact lenses to all key workers.
“At Alcon we have always focused on how we can help people and strengthen the communities in which we live and work. Never has this been more important than now,” said Chantelle Cook, Alcon country franchise head of vision care and country manager, UK & Ireland.
“By using our expertise in eyecare, we hope to provide a little relief to dry, tired eyes and play a small part in the overall efforts to keep frontline workers well. We want to show our gratitude and demonstrate how much their tireless and heroic efforts are valued.”
