Helping health workers see through the fog

Cambridgeshire-based lens manufacturer, Shamir UK, has donated 1,000 pairs of anti-fog coated safety goggles to NHS hospitals, care homes, GP surgeries, Covid-19 hubs, optical practices, district nurses and other health care workers.

As fogging is proving to be a prominent issue for those wearing medical face masks, the company has also been working remotely with practices to distribute its Glacier Plus Anti-fog coated lenses to NHS medical staff free of charge.

Any UK practitioner who would like to get involved in this cause is invited to get in touch with the team at Shamir UK by emailing info@shamirlens.co.uk
