Invitation to Q&A on eyecare delivery during lockdown

Join representatives from ABDO, the College of Optometrists, the Association of Optometrists (AOP), the Federation of Ophthalmic and Dispensing Opticians FODO) and the General Optical Council (GOC) for a Q&A session on Thursday 14 January (7-8.30pm) to discuss delivering eyecare during the current lockdown.

Chaired by Richard Edwards from the Optical Consumer Complaints Service, the session will cover the following areas:

  • How best to interpret amber guidance during national lockdowns
  • Why providing ongoing eyecare is important
  • Remote triage
  • Remote consultations
  • Prioritising patients
  • Reporting your concerns if you feel under pressure from your employer to not follow amber guidance
  • Minimising and managing risk, including concerns about PPE
