On-stand CPD at 100% Optical

CPD points for dispensing opticians will be available on the Newmedia stand at 100% Optical – through a lecture and discussion workshop on extended depth of focus (EDOF) intraocular lenses (IOLs).

EDOF IOLs are increasingly used as an alternative to traditional monofocal lenses during cataract surgery.

“It’s important for community optometrists and dispensing opticians to understand this technology,” said Newmedica medical director, Nigel Kirkpatrick.

“The lecture content is applied to actual patient cases, helping practitioners discuss suitability of different IOL types that may be offered to patients to achieve desired lifestyle benefits.”
