ABDO supports Eye Week campaign

ABDO has partnered with Media Planet to support the latest Vision & Eye Care supplement, published today online and as a hard copy within the Guardian newspaper.

The supplement, published as part of this year’s National Eye Health Week (20-26 September), includes an article by ABDO clinical lead, Max Halford, on ‘New ways to protect your child’s eyes’. The feature highlights the potential risks to children’s vision in later life if they become myopic.

Other features in the supplement look at providing support for those living with macular disease, diagnosing glaucoma and its risks, a Q&A on taking care of your eyes with the College of Optometrists’ clinical adviser Daniel Hardiman-McCartney, sponsored features on myopia control spectacle lenses by Hoya’s Andy Sanders, and on cataract surgery by OCL Vision’s director and founding partner Allon Barsam, and a round-up of the eye health benefits of a healthy lifestyle by David Cartwright, chair of Eye Health UK, which organises National Eye Health Week.

The 2021 issue of Vista magazine, the annual publication in support of Eye Week, can be downloaded here.
