Chief Executive, Tina Houlihan, said: “While we have a new name, logo and brand, our aims remain unchanged. We simply want to do more of what we do best, which is funding and stimulating ground-breaking medical research and providing high quality support for those affected by inherited sight loss conditions.
“We believe our new Retina UK name and brand will enable our charity to grow and thrive as we will be more relevant, recognisable and accessible to the people who matter most – those affected by inherited sight loss.”
The new blue logo features the strapline ‘working for people with inherited sight loss’.
Members were invited to get involved in the brand decision-making process and 86% of those chose to formally vote on the adoption of our new name and logo gave their seal of approval.
Tina thanked Retina UK’s supporters for their ongoing commitment.
“Our amazing supporters are the lifeblood of our charity. I am confident that, with our new brand and their unwavering support we are now best placed to build on our successes of the last 42 years and realise our ambitious plans for the future.”
