Press release: ABDO launches new online short courses in change and conflict management at 100%optical

The Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) has today, 25 February, launched two short self-led online courses at 100% Optical as part of the Association’s offering in Management and Leadership Training (MLT). These short courses are ideal for those who want to engage in learning about important business topics in their own time.

Anyone in the world of optics can buy the courses from the ABDO website and study at their own pace online. Courses are available in:

  • Change management
  • Conflict management

Completion of each course offers two CPD points in the professionalism domain.

Nick Wash, Head of Corporate Development, says, “ABDO now offers a suite of management and leadership development opportunities which includes the successful diploma and certificate courses leading to CMI qualifications, as well as the CPD accredited one-day workshops in change management and conflict management.

“The next phase gives an opportunity for individuals to dip their toe in the water and study an online short course at their own pace. The short courses are on the topics of change and conflict. They cover elements of theory and offer opportunities to apply some of the theory in the workplace. These short courses are also CPD accredited.”

The full range of MLT courses now offers something for everyone:

  • Online short courses – CPD accredited and studied at your own pace.
  • One-day workshops – CPD accredited and offering the opportunity to discuss the challenges that you face in practice.
  • Certificate and diploma courses – CMI accredited and leading to CMI Level 5 qualifications in Management and Leadership
