CET: Dry eye in the digital age

Essilor instruments director, Paul Cumber

An Essilor sponsored CET webinar, discussing the exacerbating impact that enhanced screen time is having on dry eye disease, will take place for eyecare practitioners (ECPs) on Wednesday 24 March.

Titled, ‘Dry eye in the digital age’, the evening session is part of the free webinar series being offered by CETpoints.com and will bring together leading experts in the field.

Clinical optometrist, Nick Dash who was been awarded for his innovative work in treating dry eye, and Norwegian optometrist, Erik Robertstad, will explore how increased digital use is affecting dry eye disease as screen use reaches an all-time high.

They will explore the different approaches that can be used to diagnose and treat the disease in practice.

Paul Cumber, instruments director at Essilor, said: “More patients are suffering with dry eye and it is likely to become even more prevalent as screen time increasingly dominates our leisure hours, as well as work time. The webinar is a good starting point for ECPs looking to offer a dry eye clinic to help existing patients with dry eye symptoms, and attract new customers through the doors by marketing the service.”

The event will run between 6:30 and 7:30pm.
