Club members celebrate at the Landmark

Guests arrive for the awards ceremony

More than 200 Rodenstock Club members attended the company’s annual luncheon and 2019 Awards Ceremony on 17 December at the Landmark Hotel, London.

Over the course of 2019, practices from across the UK competed in a number of product specific categories with a new category introduced in 2019 focusing on tools and services. Following a three-course lunch, guests were entertained by stand-up comedian and author Jenny Eclair.

Norma Davies was named as the leading Centre of Excellence. The Carmarthen opticians was presented with the award for overall best-performing practice for 2019.

SunProtect Eyewear Practice of the Year: Goldsmith Webb of Chelmsford
Perfection Lens Practice of the Year: Martin Steels of Storrington
Centre of Excellence Lens: Cooper & Leatherbarrow of Darlington
Ergo Lens Centre of Excellence: Goldsmith Webb of Chelmsford
Solitaire 2 Centre of Excellence: BBR Optometry of Hereford
Colormatic Centre of Excellence: Barracloughs the Opticians of Bexhill-on-Sea

The penultimate lens award for DNEye centre of excellence was awarded to Nicklins of Guildford.

Looking back over the past year, Rodenstock general manager, David Baker, told guests about a number of improvements planned for the UK as another busy year for Rodenstock in 2020 approached.
