SeeAbility launches awareness film

SeeAbility has launched a film to raise awareness of the unmet eyecare needs of many children with learning disabilities and autism.

“The government has committed to a national rollout of eyecare services in all special schools – and we are calling for spectacle dispensing and support to successfully wear glasses from a dispensing optician to be a part of that model,” said a spokesperson.

“SeeAbility is calling for a national commissioning model, which will ensure additional specialist training as well as continuity and quality of care for this vulnerable patient group.”
