Thinking Green Part 9

In Thinking Green this month, we are thinking about how to make sustainable purchasing decisions. If you’re not responsible for purchasing in your business or practice, could you pass this article on to the person who is?

Action: switching suppliers can be a big decision, so start off by simply asking your suppliers for their sustainability policy.

In running this campaign, we have been pleased to see just how many manufacturers are already moving towards sustainability.

Here are some ideas to help you make your purchasing more sustainable:

  • Ask suppliers about their sustainability credentials
  • Stock sustainable frames
  • Buy recycled paper
  • Use Fairtrade tea and coffee for staff and clients
  • If you provide bags, make sure they are made from recycled paper
